If when you start a diet you also take up exercise, you can see inch loss before weight loss. This is because you will start to build up muscle, which in fact weighs heavier than fat. It is important to record your initial start weight and it is just as important to also record your starting inches. We all become so focused on what the numbers on the scales say that we tend to forget that we’ve just managed to fit into our favourite jeans!
